Crazy prego dreams...

I'm REALLY beginning to HATE my crazy pregnancy dreams!! Last night I had a dream that me and Tom-Tom were in Wal-Mart and he was sitting in the front of the buggy and some old perv came up to me and asked if he could come with him and live in his truck for a month. The perv also offered us a pair of Christmas socks after I declined. lol WTH?!! Last month I had a dream that Thomas went pshycho and let's just say the outcome was NOT pretty! UGH!! What's up w/these crazy dreams?

Friday

Friday, again and you may or may not know what that means. It's time for 5 Question Friday!

1. What ringtone do you have on your cell phone?

I have alot of different ones. I can't think of all of them right now and my phone ois dead, but a few of them are Blake Shelton - Honeybee, Lil Wayne - How to Love and Rihanna - Man Down

2. What is your favorite memory from this summer?

Well, since the first half of my summer was filled with working and sleeping (blame the first trimester of pregnancy for that) I would have to say it has been the last part of the summer and just spending time with Tom-Tom and enjoying (sort of) my pregnancy.

3. Paper books or ebooks?

Paper. I'm not cool (or fortunate) enough to own anything that I can read an ebook on. :( Hopefully, when tax time rolls around I will, though. Our plan is to get two tablets (one for me and one for Hubby).

4. If you could have one home upgrade what would it be and why?

Ugh, can I say the whole house?! lol This house was built in the 70's and it is kind of small and I would LOVE to move!

5. When was your first serious boyfriend/girlfriend?

 

I guess when me and the hubby moved in together.

Rainy Tuesday

Well, it's been a wet weekend. We didn't have much going on this weekend because of the rain. Saturday, we were stuck at home all day without a car because hubby had to work. Sunday, Monday and Today were rainy days. It doesn't look like the rain will be going anywhere anytime soon either.

Today we began working on the alphabet again. We're working on the letter B this week. Tom-Tom painted a butterfly with Q-tips. We did a little "worksheet" called X's and O's. I wrote a big letter B at the top of the paper and wrote all the other letters of the alphabet at the bottom of the page, in no particular order. After that we went out side to do a little science experiment with a paper airplane, but Tom-Tom was worried about it getting wet so he just played in the mud puddles instead.

This week

Well, we have had some fun this week and I have been meaning to post about it all week... just never got around to doing it! I know, I know I'm a slacker! lol

So. Monday we didn't do much of anything. Tuesday was a pretty boring day also. We just hung around the house. We went for a walk down our street and that was about the extent of our Tuesday.

Then, Wednesday was started learning the alphabet. We are doing a letter a week. Of course, it's only natural that we start with the letter A.

I cut out an apple, an ant and a letter A and Tom-Tom glued them all together (with my help of course).





Yesterday I got some inspiration from The Crafty Crow and we made an alligator.

The white triangles are supposed to be teeth. Don't ask me what happened there! lol

Then, Tom-Tom had some fun on his own (practicing writing his name)





And later on in the day (after about 2 hours of putting the thing together) we had some fun with his train set that he got for Christmas last year.





Today we haven't made any fun projects based on the letter A, BUT we did make some awesome jam filled cookies. Now, let me tell you I'm NOT a baker but I got the recipe for jam filled butter cookies and they are soooo good!! :D

Goodness! Friday already?!! AND September already?!! Holy time warp Batman!! I can't believe it's already September!! You know what that means... don't ya?! Only 79 days until little Sophia is due! :D :D I'm soo excited!! It's going to be hectic around here with a newborn and having to chase a 3 yr old around and keep him entertained!

Anyway, enough about that. Let's get on with the 5 Question Friday.


  

1. Shoes in the house - yay or nay?

Well, I'm with Mama M. on this one. Normally I don't care, but if you have poop on your shoes... then yea your shoes gotta come off!!

2. What do you call them- flip flops, slippers, thongs, etc?

I call them flip-flops or sometimes if I'm feeling froggy I will call them flippy-flops.
3. What song are you almost embarrassed to admit you know all the lyrics to?

Ummm.... I'm not really sure I have any. At least I can't think of any right now. *shrugs*
4. What is the best quality to have in a friend?

I'm going to have to go with... no two facedness (is that a word?!! I don't think so, but I don't care I'm gonna go with it! lol)
5. Do you know what you want for Christmas?

Oh good Lord!! NO!! I don't even want to think about Christmas!! lol I'm sooo not ready!

5 Question Friday

Ok, so before I became such a slacker with my blog I was participating in Mama M.'s 5 Question Friday. I have decided that I will start doing that again! :D



 

1. Did you make any fun purchases this week?

Ummm, let me think! Yesterday was an eventful day. Hubby got off work at noon to take me to the Dr. to screen for gestational diabetes no less. We went to the Dollar General before that because they have a HUGE sale going on right now. We didn't really get anything exciting just some food, clothes for the kids, some new Cars shoes for Tom-Tom (which he LOVES BTW) and that's about it. After the Dr. we went to Kroger for a few groceries. So, my answer to this would have to be... nope.

2. If you could go to any musical concert, what would it be?

Awww, I would sooo love to go to a Sugarland concert!! I LOOOOVE them! :D

3. What is your least fav/ most fav house chore?

Um, most fav. chore... yea... right!! lol I don't know. I guess mopping?! Don't judge me!! lol :D

Least fav. chore would have to be... umm.... laundry. I think the only reason I hate it so much and put it off for so long is because our laundry room is outside. So, I have to go in and out, in and out with baskets full of dirty and clean clothes.

4. Would you prefer new appliances or clothes?

I HAVE to say appliances. I have sooo many clothes that I don't even have room to put all of them! Plus, the simple fact that buying myself clothes right now would be kind of pointless considering the fact that I'm 7 months pregnant and I wouldn't be able to wear the clothes I got now after I had to baby. So, yea appliances. Definitely!!

5. Miracle Whip or Mayo?

Honestly, I like both. It depends on what I'm eating!

Wow!

Man, it's been a while since I posted to my blog!! Alomst a year in fact. Sorry! I've been slacking! Well, what's new in the Smith household you ask? Ah, not much! lol

Excpt for the fact that we're adding another addition to our family!! Yep, I'm preggo. We're expecting a little girl in November and I can't wait!! :D I'm sooo excited! I think Tom-Tom is excited too because he is always talking about his "baby siser"! She's due just 3 days before Thanksgiving on the 21st of November. Her name is Sophia Isabelle. SIS for short. I'm am 27 almost 28 weeks pregnant! Only a little more that 12 weeks to go!! :D YAY! So far so good for the both of us. I've only gained 3 lbs so far (I lost some in the beginning due to being sick all the time), but the 3rd trimester is when I always start packing on the lbs anyway.

As for Mr. Tom-Tom he has been doing really well. I've been trying to teach him his ABC's. He's been watching "Barney knows his ABC's" every morning and another by Leap Frog, but I can't remember the title. He can sing part of his ABC's up to the letter G. After G he gets a little confused and starts singing them all out of order lol. We're working on it, though. We're also practicing writing his letters and recognizing them. He wrote out some A's today.

Hubby's doing good too. Just been stressing out here lately because he is the only one with an income, but we're making it work. I hopefully have a babysitting job lined up. I saw a post on Craigslist about a woman looking for a babysitter and replied. I'm just waiting on here to respond back. *fingers crossed*

Well, I guess that's about all the updating I have in me for now. Toodles!

Sicky, Sicky

Well, we probably won't be doing anything fun today because Tom-Tom has been sick for the past few days. He's been throwing up since early Friday morning. He's been throwing up and has had diarrhea. :( Also, on Saturday evening when his daddy brought him home I took his temp and it was 103.1!! I was freaking out!! lol I was searching the internet and even called the nurse line that is provided by his insurance. My poor baby. Thankfully he hasn't had a temp that high any more and he hasn't been sick all morning. Hope he gets to feeling better soon.

Work and play ;)

So, today I was scheduled to be off from work and (of course) we had two people call out. Therefore, I was called in to come fill in. BORING!! lol

Now time for the "play" part of this post! ;)

So, my cousin's sis-in-law had a Pure Romance birthday party. Let me just say it is soooo much fun!!! :D If you have never been to one and you are invited GO!! You get a demo of alot of the lotions, potions, "toys" and you get to know all of your girlfriends a little bit better! lol

I bought stuff called Mini Nights of Passion. It says "this set of 5 Pure Romance favs will take you through an entire evening of romance, from pheromone-infused bubble baths to sensual massage -- and beyond!" Oooo!! lol Well, I'm off to play with my new toys! See ya later!!! ;-D
