We haven't had much going on around here lately. That's why I haven't been posting much but we did have family pictures taken on Sunday (10/13/13).
These are the best pictures of the whole family. I know you can't really see the pic in the top right corner but I can't resize the different windows in the photo editor I'm using. Anyway, I want to give a huge shoutout to Julia McGahey of JuJu Mc Photography. She posted in a local Facebook group that she wanted to give back to families who may not be fortunate enough to be able to pay to have professional pictures made. I told her that we haven't had family pictures made since my oldest was about 13-14 months old. He will be 6 in December! So a loooong time without family pics. Anyway, she is soooo amazing and very generous to do this for families! I love the pictures and I'm very happy with what she did. Warms my heart see that there are still good-hearted, kind people out there. :) With all the bad things happening and all you hear about on the news is things that people are doing wrong it's easy to forget that there are still good people in the world! <3 p="">3>
Hi all! Not much going on around here lately. That's why all my posts have been reviews! lol Anyway, recently I got to try out Sargento cheese snacks. I got the pepper jack cheese sticks. I got these for free from Influenster site.
This cheese is so good! It has just the right amount of kick to it. They are great by themselves or pairing them up with some whole grain or whole wheat crackers and a piece of fruit or some veggies. I especially love the fact that they are all natural and they have 4 grams of protein to help curb that starving feeling in the middle of the day. I will definitely be buying more of these! #ChooseSargentoCheese
First, I want to say that I got a coupon for a free milk coupon from BzzAgent. Also, I was supposed to be trying out TruMoo's vanilla milk, but had to get chocolate instead because my Kroger didn't have vanilla. :( I'm very disapponted by that because I was looking forward to sharing the vanilla with my kids...
Anyway, the chocolate is soooo good! The kids and I all love it! I usually don't give my kids (premixed) chocolate milk because of all the sugar. I don't have to worry about that with TruMoo, though! It has 35% less sugar than other chocolate milk brands. Also, I like the fact that it has no hormones or high fructose corn syrup. **thumbs up**
They are having a promotion now to win a Goosebumps Haunted Hollywood Vacation. There's an easy way to enter over on the TruMoo® Facebook page and you get an instant Goosebumps DVD coupon just for signing up! There’s no harm in entering (aside from the frights they’re sure to encounter on the all-expenses-paid trip). So go ahead and head over to TruMoo's facebook page and enter the sweepstakes! :)
I have been participating in the Free Friday Downloads from Kroger.com with BzzAgent.com. I like this program ALOT!! :) It's very simple to use and I get FREE items from Kroger! :) Last week I downloaded a coupon for free Ultimate Helper by Hamburger Helper. I didn't get a chance to make it to Kroger last week to pick it up, though. Fortunately, the coupon doesn't expire for TWO weeks! How sweet is that?! I logged into my BzzAgent account today to see what goodies I could get. Today, the free coupon was for a bag of Cheetos. I went and got both free items today. I will say that it was very easy and simple to download the coupons to my Kroger shoppers card. I had no hassles or issues when I went to "purchase" the items. Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience with Free Friday Downloads. :)
I'm just popping on here real quick to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. Here's what my hubby got me.
The crappy part about today was that I had to take the kids to the doctor for check-up. Sophia for her 2 month (she's 10 weeks, 5 days) and she's weighting in at a wopping 15 pounds 8 ounces!! 8-O Good lawdy!! She's a big ol chuncker!! lol She's doubled her birthweight of 8 pounds 2.5 ounces.
Well, me and my hubby got Breaking Dawn today so I gotta run!! :-D
Yep that's me! Busy as a bee! I know I said that I was going to get caught up on my post, but I just haven't found the time!
Today, has been fun,but exhausting at the same time. I posted on my facebook a couple weeks ago saying I wanted to make some cookies and chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's Day. In the same post I asked if anyone else wanted me to make them some. I had one person tell me she did. Well, I got to work on both bright and early this morning after I had my coffee. Mind you this was my first time making both cookies(from scratch) and chocolate covered strawberries. I didn't have any disasters everything came out perfectly. So, I'm happy. :)
Yep, it's been awhile since I posted, BUT it wasn't because I was being a slacker this time!! :) lol It was because my computer got a stupid virus and I wasn't able to use the computer AT ALL!! I was having to use our PSP to get on the tinternet and the only site that would go to was Facebook. So, now I have a notebook or netbook. I'm not sure!! lol I just got the cheapet and smallest laptop they had at Wally World.
We've had lots going on since my last post (at the begining of December). We had Tom-Tom's birthday and of course Christmas after that then New Year's then income tax returns!! :) Woot woot!!
I'm not going to post all of that in this post. I'm going to make seperate posts for all. Only because we had A LOT of fun at Tom-Tom's party and I took WAY too many pics!! lol So just a fair warning it will probably be picture overload on that post.
After almost a week I'm finally getting on here to announce the arrival of Sophia!
After being 10 days past my due date she is FINALLY here!! :D
My labor story:
On Wednesday (11/30) I started having contractions. At first I didn't even know that's what they were so I continued on with my normal bedtime routine not thinking too much about it. I went to bed and tried to get some sleep, but kept waking up to the contractions (still not realizing that's what they were). At 5:30 am Thursday morning I decided to just get up. Everyone else was of course still sleeping. That's when it hit me that I was in labor! I let everyone sleep because I still hadn't lost my mucus plug and my water hadn't broke so I figured I had a while before I had to go to the hospital. I also had a doctor's appointment that day so I decided to just wait it out and see what they said at my appointment.
At about 7:30am Thomas (hubby) got up thinking he was going to go to work that day. When he got up I told him "You might as well call into work and tell them your not coming in." He of course asked why and I told him "Because I'm having contractions." He asked why I didn't wake him up and I said because it's not time yet. We then went on with our morning. Contractions at this point were hurting, but not unbareable. I couldn't sit through them, though. If I was sitting when they came on I had to get up and walk around. It helped to walk around some, but they didn't completely go away.
Well, we just went on with our morning and Tom-Tom finally woke up at about 9am. Thomas had already said that he was going to the mall to pay on our internet bill so I decided that I was going to go too. I didn't want to sit around the house just focusing on my contractions. So, I took a shower and got ready. We got to the mall at around 10 am. Well, the internet place wasn't open yet, so I decided that we should walk around. We were there for about 2 hours. I lost a good amount of my mucus plug while we were there. My doctor appointment was at 1:15 that afternoon. Well, while we were at the mall I called to ask if I should come to the appointment or just go to the hospital. They told me to come to the appointment and then told me to come in at 1pm. Well, we left the mall and went straight to my appointment.
At the doctor I was called back fairly quickly and the medical assistant that I had seen my whole pregnancy was like "She just doesn't want to come out does she?!" I said "Oh no, she's coming today! I'm in labor right now!" lol Of course we went on with the normal bp and weight check. Got into the room and waited for what seemed like forever for my doc to come in. He said something about her not wanting to come out. I didn't tell him I was in labor at the moment. I figured when he checked me that he would figure it out for himself! lol He checked me and told me I was about 4-5 cm and told me to go to the hospital. I came out and told Thomas "Let's go to the hospital. He said I'm about a 4-5."
We got to the hospital (which is about a min from my dr office) got checked in, registered and everything. Went to the labor and delivery room. Got into my gown and got hooked up to all the monitors and I had to get an IV with some fluids because I hadn't been eating or drinking anything (I just couldn't do it because I felt kinda sick to my stomach if I did). At this point the contractions hurt bad, but I didn't feel like I was dying yet. I asked for an epidural, but couldn't get one until I got some fluids in me. The nurse said I had to have at least one and half bags of fluids before I could get the epi.
So, all we could do at this point was wait! About 2 hours later at about 4pm I went to roll over to get checked and my water broke the nurse told me that it was meconium stained, but I was 6-7 and 100% effaced. At about 5:30pm I was an 8-9. At 6pm I was ready to push, but couldn't because the doctor was still getting ready to deliver. So, when he finally get ready (not sure what time) about 6:10 or 6:15pm they put my legs in stirrups (old school way, I guess, didn't have to use them with Tom-Tom) I don't remember how many pushes maybe 4 or 5 pushes and she was born at 6:26pm on December 1st.
I know I'm almost a week late! lol I don't really know why. No excuses... just because I guess! Anyway, we had an awesome Thanksgiving with great food and family! I brought my camera, but of course forgot to take pics! *D'oh!* Oh well, I got a couple of myself and Tom-Tom before we left for the festivities.
I was trying to get a pic of his hair because I spiked it. Can't really see it because of the sun though.
